There will be a screening of 'Miles Away' my first feature at the 'whirled cinema' whirled
on Friday Nov 27th. 8.30 (doors 7.30) My short film 'polo manual' will also be playing before hand. The evening is a bit of a fundraiser to enable me to send the film to more festivals across the world which is getting very expensive. The price will be £5 but free to cast and crew. No seats will be reserved, just first come.
The cinema holds about 90 people, has a bar and a great side alley for bike parking. Come if you missed it the first time or come a second time if you were confused on a first watch.

Was cleaning my chain with a rag on sunday. Rag gets stuck in rear cog and takes a spin. Cue right index finger doing the same.

Pretty much did exactly as first image here (don't click if you dislike watching severed fingers). It's all healing pretty well, but my nail is cut 2/3 through, from the side. Will this heal or do I have to wait for a new nail? Perhaps the cut will stay and slowly grow out?

So, yeah, don't spin pedals to clean chain... or at least clean the part going from the cog, not into it. And keep fingers on the outside.

I need to rent my flat so I can go travelling, 4th floor, 3 bed place in stockwell. Are there any good flat rental, flat share websites out there, apart from posting on gumtree? Free registration would be good, but don't mind paying a small fee. As I need to get this place rented the sooner the better.

Many thanks

Anyone used one?
I've been recisioned(well quit just before it happened) so need to start looking for new work. I've lost the last copy of my CV so the current version I have is 2 Jobs and 4 Years out of date.
I've had a look on google and come across abunch of places all offering from £30-200 for their services. Alot of sites look like they were made in 1996 the others look like they were built to scam. I'm no wordsmith and with the way things are at the moment I can see the need for having the perfect cv.
So basically can anyone recommend a company?

Hello, cycling chums,

A writing class I've been involved with for a while now is headed up by this insanely industrious guy that has produced an anthology of work centred on the bookshop he runs down Brick Lane (You should all know it, it's called Eastside Books). It's a good, independent shop and the work in the anthology (that I've read) is excellent. I also happen to have a short story in there called Derek's Throne.

There will be another, smarter version of this book coming out next year (with amazing artwork done by my talented little sister of Pearl Fisher fame). But to ensure we get that far we need to sell as many versions of this first edition...so I'm plugging this far and wide...It's a real labour of love and no one is making any money from this. We're just consolidating our work and interests.

The foreword is by the excellent Russ Willey (an amusing London Historian) and you can read what he says about the work under the 'preview' option under the main image in the link below.

Buy it here for a fiver: http://www.lulu.com/content/paperbac...k-lane/7852030

And also availble in the book shop.

Cheers,

D.
