finally saw a 2007 london langster in flesh on the road today. i wasn't riding when i saw it maybe i should count myself lucky it's so ugly i might have fallen off my bike. that dude's got long straight hair the saddle's set way too low and coasts way too much.... ugh. what a match.

i've seen two, both ridden by really ugly men, one of them looked like tim robbins in hi-fidelity, wearing birkencrocs or something similar if i remember.

was in evans (replacing an innertube 2nd puncture in 5 days) and saw a guy buying one, apart from the red rims and hubs, it isn't the prettiest bike in the world. Was upset for him, wanted to let him know he could buy something different. but just huffed over my inner tube and bit me tongue. Beauty's in the eye of the beholder dontcha know ;-P

they should make birkencrocs with a pedal spindle for the uglies. then they don't need toe clips or SPDs...

I don't know- If it didn't have the london tube map thingy, wasn't a specialized (though i have nothing against specialized- its just they always get nicked-- at least my two mtb's did :(
But the white bike with a red rims and hubs is quite nice (and incidentally if anyone knows of a cheap as chips bike i could convert (white) i'd love one.)
But i agree the whole thing is fairly ugly. Though not as bad as the others (boston and NY)

its true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

as I behold it, the new Langster is one ugly looking bike...I don't mean to diss, but just aesthetically it is all wrong imo...

i think it may have been bikesnob who compared half-taped bars to being like a dog's erect penis, poking out of its woolly sheath.

ha ha unless he was taking it to the next level with the radio. I guess evans isn't the choice of the courier...but he looked like heed been caught out with a puncture or summit.

Firstly, hardly anybody rides a bike
Secondly, hardly anyone who does rides a bike rides a fixed wheel.
Thirdly, most of those that cycle with a fixed wheel probably have never seen it or heard of it.

It looks like the set design for a London-based episode of a US sitcom.

I expect the Duchess of York rides one.

They can't be aimed at anyone serious.
1. A tube map, on the London model (!). Most people ride bikes to avoid that fucker.
2. The cab theme of the NY model, also. If London is anything to go by, surely NY riders aren't the greatest fans of cabbies either...

I think the seattle one is by far the worst bike i have ever seen.
in second worst comes the 'Gangster' from chicago- sales line- 'If you ride this bike, you'll get shot' (getting shot is cool).
Then the NYC, then London.
Boston is the best of a terrible lot.
