Old-fashioned cycling shoes and cleats

Posted 7th September 2008 at 09:48 by Condorfix
Tried clipless on fixed bike. Not comfortable in London traffic. Have switched to very light MKS, Brooks toe clips and straps. Now the problem: which shoes? MTB shoes too clunky round the front and won't connect with little "lip" on pedal to flip it into place to slide foot in. Using old SPD carbon mix sole Shimanos without cleats. But anyone remember the old-fashioned racing and touring shoes with old-fashioned cleats? Anyone know if you can still buy these, and where? Thanks
